Here are some tips courtesy of PPAI for the best way to use testimonials to boost your company image.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Keep it short.&lt;/b&gt; &amp;nbsp;Each word of the testimonial should have value. &amp;nbsp;Therefore, if someone write you a page-long testimonial, edit out any words that don't directly address the end result he or she received from your service or product. &amp;nbsp;This doesn't mean you change the meaning of what someone writes; &amp;nbsp;you simply edit out the parts that don't contribute to the meaning. &amp;nbsp;Often, the more words you take out, the stronger the testimonial becomes. &amp;nbsp;Also, it's easier to read and will stand out more.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Include a name and title when possible.&lt;/b&gt; &amp;nbsp;Rather than attribute your testimonial to "John S., Nebraska," use the person's real name, company name, title, and/or location whenever possible, &amp;nbsp;as in "John Sanders, salesperson at Acme Company," or &amp;nbsp;"John Sanders, Omaha, Nebraska." Portland was the most recent to join the movement which includes the Californian cities and counties:&amp;nbsp;San Francisco, San Jose, Palo Alto, Malibu, Fairfax, Santa Monica, Manhattan Beach, Calabasas, Long Beach, Marin County, and unincorporated Los Angeles County.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is bad news for the plastics industry, who actually tried to sue Fairfax for their ban which was, at the time, voluntary; claiming that not using plastic bags is bad for the environment because it causes you to use paper bags. &amp;nbsp;In result these counties and cities will not offer single use plastic bags and recycled paper bags will be available for 10 cents a bag and can increase to as much as 25 cents a bag within 2 years.&lt;br /&gt;I think the rise of reusable bags is a wonderful ambition! This costs retailers about $4 billion a year.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;An estimated 3,960,000 tons of plastic bags, sack and wraps were produced in 2008. In a study by the Irish Department of the Environment it was found that plastic bag usage had dropped 93.5%. Decorate the customer service department and the entire company with posters, banners and balloons. Talking with a farmers market volunteer, until recently, the “locals” weren’t supporting the market. Not only do farmers markets help the local economy by feeding money back into the neighborhood, but they increase access to fresh, healthy foods at low costs. They also serve as a public gathering place, bringing all different walks to of life together, in a comfortable setting for one day. Another great reason to buy local. I can relate this to our business, as well. In fact, we believe in strongly supporting the organizations that support us. Our owners are community volunteers to several non-profit organizations. They are leaders,board of directors and church members that are vital to the community. We even have an owner who is an active member of the local fire department. Most new jobs are created by local businesses. I believe small businesses are the key to bringing back the economy. A great example of this, is our local hardware store, and how friendly and helpful they are. What can do to increase your local customers? One idea would be to implement a “Buy Local Program” within your store. According to an Independent Business Survey in 2011, businesses with a “buy local” initiative, reported an average gain in revenue of 5.6 percent when compared to 2.1percent for everyone else. Check out the 3/50 project, http://www.the350project.net, and become a supporter. The 3/50 project that is geared toward saving the brick and mortars of our nation. So, by just implementing a program for purchasing local, your bottom line could increase. "Adland has unearthed an old 1979 ad for Pakistani Airlines promoting its flights to New York City using an ominous plane shadow cast upon the Twin Towers. Certainly in the seventies, everyone was enamored with the stature and size of the the then amazing looking towers but unless you were Irwin Allen, even in your most imaginative moments you weren't envisioning this ad's imagery would foretell the horror that occurred September 11, 2001.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Barring that horrific day in 2001 and placing oneself in 1979, it's actually a good ad. The Towers were the premiere iconic image of New York city and they retained their iconic status through three decades until they fell that fateful day. No one in 1979 could seriously have believed an image like this would become reality. Sadly, it did. Similar images from the past will continue to pop up from time to time in old magazines, in old ads, in old movies and we'll wince a bit each time we see them remembering our connection to that day." They read about what they should do, they may actually make a list, and even perhaps venture into trying it out once or twice. But most marketing methods (especially free or low cost ones), take many repetitions. Getting one link placed is only a start, and it won't get you far. Posting once to a forum is a little help, but unlikely to result in any increase in business.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 10px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;"&gt;Follow through often includes developing systems (routines) for repeating marketing tasks. Establish a customer list, and devise a routine for regular mailings - then DO it. Set aside a certain amount of time each week for getting web links - then DO it, EVERY week. If you use pay per click ads, then set aside a little time each day to assess the stats, and determine which ads are bringing sales, and which are bringing browsers, then reassess and adjust your ads, keywords, etc. Actually devote that time EVERY day to tweaking them until they bring results that you are satisfied with. Write an article a week, or two articles a week, and post them to a specific number of article databases.
